Our Protestant Brethren

Marcus Grodi uses the phrase "Our Separaated Brethren" on his EWTN show "The Journey Home", referring to our Protestant friends.

In the past two years, many wonderful men and women of God have expanded my understanding of Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and of Jesus Christ, Himself. You can find their shows within that group of church channels on cable.

WHO AND WHY

In this space, I once listed some Protestant ministers I watched on TV. Since I've not had cable in a few months, I have been listening to Christian radio. In Baltimore, we do not have Catholic radio, so I must be content with a local Protestant station. Out of this, I discovered a man who is head and shoulders above any of the others: Hank Hanagram of THE BIBLE ANSWER MAN radio broadcast.

Not only is he a Bible Scholar with a passion for God and His Word-he actually wrote a book called "The Osteenification of America", claiming that Joel Osteen distorts much of the Scripture he preaches.

After my shock regarding the title wore off, I became curious. WHY did he write such a book? I like Joel Osteen, and couldn't fathom why he would "persecute" him this way.

So I began listening to his show, and I found out. Many of the preachers I had been watching, in Hanks's view, were found wanting in the area of the Spirit of God's Word. I became fascinated by not only his knowledge but his emotion and passion. I'll write more later, but find him if you can.
